Helping the Sexual Strugglers: a training event for church leaders

This event is for pastors, church staff, and lay ministry leaders who are wanting to help people in their church (or small group) to face their sexual addictions / compulsions. It will offer teaching about the prevalence, roots, and characteristics of sex addiction, and offer concrete solutions for ministry in this important but challenging area. We had our first training event on Feb 19, and it went great! We’ve recently confirmed the date for our next training - Thursday, June 4.

“90 Days to Sexual Sanity” ready to launch new groups

We are currently running three groups in this program, and will be starting a new group in April. “90 Days to Sexual Sanity” is a program of daily teaching and assignments, combined with weekly group coaching calls, to guide people towards recovery from compulsive sexual behavior. The response has been phenomenal for the groups that have been doing the program. We’re planning to start a new group shortly. Why we need groups for recovery - free teleseminar

We’re hosting a free teleseminar on Thursday night, April 23. This teleseminar is open to anyone who’d like to learn more about recovery from sexual struggle, either for themselves or someone they know. The theme will be on the importance of groups in recovery from compulsive sexual behavior. This teaching will also apply to other compulsions / addictions.

If there is one pervasive challenge for people in recovery, it is the tendency to isolate. We don’t want to reach out to other people for help, or participate in groups because we don’t want to admit that we have a problem.  Especially if our challenges are related to sexual behaviors, we face the shame and stigma we attach to the struggle. This teleseminar will talk about why groups are so powerful, and what to look for in a healthy group.

In the call, we’ll also briefly discuss three programs that we offer to help people grow: (a) 90 days to sexual sanity training and experience course (b) phone coaching group for leaders (c) phone coaching group for sexual strugglers.

The teleseminar will be held on Thursday, April 23, at 7pm Central Standard Time (5pm Pacific, 8pm Eastern). It will last for an hour. To register, send an email with your name, phone number, and email address to:
